AmaWaterways is adding a Saône River itinerary to its popular wine-themed cruises in 2024.
The seven-night Flavors of Burgundy itinerary is the newest addition to the Celebration of Wine River Cruises series, a collection of more than 60 wine-themed departures in Europe.
Flavors of Burgundy will sail on the AmaCello from Dijon to Lyon, visiting Seurre, Tournus, Mâcon and Lyon.
Guests can expect daily wine-tasting excursions that include visits to vineyards and chateaux as well as special meals, tastings and seminars hosted by wine experts — certified sommeliers, vineyard owners and wine educators from North America or Europe.
There is an alternative itinerary that includes three-night pre-cruise and post-cruise stays in Paris and Geneva. Rates begin at $4,249 per person and the pre- and post-cruise extensions can be added for an additional $2,790.
