German leisure airline Condor has introduced its first lie-flat seat with the launch of its first Airbus A330neo.
Condor’s new plane made its initial U.S. arrival at New York JFK on Feb. 13. Condor plans to use the Airbus A330neo on all of its long-haul flights by next year and has 16 of the jets on order. They’ll replace a fleet of Boeing 767s.
This summer, Condor is scheduled to serve 11 U.S. cities from Frankfurt.
Condor’s A330neos feature 30 seats in business class, 65 in premium economy and 216 in economy.
In business class, flyers will have a 76-inch-long bed. The product is replacing Condor’s 767 business class, which offers up to 60 inches of length, according to the website SeatGuru. The business class seat on the 767 does not go fully flat.
On the Airbus A330neo, the first row of business class features four Prime Seats, which have extra space and are able to accommodate two guests dining together.
The planes will be equipped throughout with high-speed WiFi and seatback screens offering Condor’s slate of in-flight programming.
