Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, has announced its inaugural Las Verbenas Food and Wine Festival from December 3 to 4.
“We took inspiration from Puerto Rican ‘verbenas,’ or traditional festivities held across small local communities on the island, when creating this idea,” said the resort’s executive chef, Jose Ballester, who is leading the event.
“Our hope is to provide a fun yet sophisticated sensory exploration of our local culture while creating memories and nurturing their palates.”
The event will feature chefs from Puerto Rico and beyond.
Opening the festival will be a Chocolate & Champagne reception at the Spa Botanico, where a chocolate-inspired menu will meet a champagne pairing. The Fiesta de Pueblo, a celebration of Puerto Rican culture, will offer local food and artisan stations; spirits and rum tastings; and live music and performances by local bands.
Tickets cost $695 per person and are valid for the two-day event.
