La Borde en Sologne, a chateau and spa property, opened Oct. 1 in France’s Loire Valley.
The four-star hotel is located between Blois, Chambord and Cheverny in the small village of Vernou-en-Solonge.

Housed in a building that dates from the middle of the 17th century, the property offers 35 rooms and suites decked out with sculpted walls and ceilings, wooden art frescos and fireplaces.
Rooms feature views of the French and English gardens, parks and a pond, where guests can take out small boats.
The hotel’s Memoire restaurant features local and seasonal dishes, with some of the ingredients originating from the domain’s vegetable and fruit gardens.
The spa is located in the former orangery of the castle and features scenic views as well as a sauna, hammam and massage rooms with natural and organic treatments.
