The Willard InterContinental, one of Washington, D.C.’s iconic hotels, will retain its brand, as IHG Hotels & Resorts and property owner Willard Associates have signed a 25-year management deal.
Willard and IHG have been partners since 1986, when the property was restored and the hotel reopened.
Located one block from the White House, the Willard InterContinental is a 12-story luxury hotel with 335 guest rooms, including 55 suites and 14 specialty suites. The hotel features the French brasserie Café du Parc and the Round Robin Bar.
Calling the Willard “the landmark hotel in the nation’s capital,” IHG Americas CEO Elie Maalouf said IHG was “very pleased to continue our valued relationship and partnership with Willard Associates.”
Willard Associates chairman Oliver T. Carr, Jr. said, “Together with IHG, we will ensure that the Willard Center continues to innovate in the way people travel, meet and work, and make new history along the way.”
