For travelers with a New Year’s resolution to visit more destinations, the time to start planning is now with these latest SkyMiles deals from Delta.
The airline, which regularly updates the “SkyMiles Deals” page of their website, currently has flights across the U.S. starting at just 7,000 miles for a round-trip Basic Economy ticket, with many of the deals under 10,000 miles.
Travelers can find which deal works for them by sorting by origin city, destination, or region. Travelers can also get inspiration by selecting certain trip interests such as ‘beach’, ‘city, ‘food’, or ‘ski’.
The outbound travel dates, which are between Jan. 28, 2024 through Feb. 27, 2024, vary by city.
Travel + Leisure spotted some of the top deals include:
- Miami to Atlanta for 10,000 miles
- New York, NY (JFK) to Tampa, FL for 10,000 miles
- Raleigh/Durham to Tampa for 10,000 miles
- Salt Lake City to Los Angeles for 9,500 miles
- San Jose to Seattle for 7,000 miles
- Washington, DC (WAS) to Orlando, FL for 9,500 miles
The lowest cost option is in Delta’s Basic Economy cabin, which can be restrictive for travelers as there is not a seat assignment until check-in and there are cancellation fees. Basic Economy passengers also board last and are not eligible for upgrades.
“You’ve earned the miles, now learn where they can take you. Explore deals to cities you already love or discover new destinations that await you,” Delta shares on the SkyMiles Deals page.
Other airlines also regularly post flight deals on their website, such as United’s current offers webpage. Low-cost airlines such as Avelo, JetBlue, and Norse Atlantic Airways have also published fare sales or promotions within the last week.
Several economic analyses have pointed to airfare prices dropping throughout 2024, in part due to increased flight capacity and cooling demand since the ‘revenge travel’ period.
