Adventures by Disney is launching family-focused expedition cruises to Antarctica and the Galapagos as well as a new photo-focused river cruise in France, the company announced Wednesday.
Beginning late this year, Adventures by Disney Expeditions Cruising will sail the first of two 12-day Antarctica and Patagonia itineraries in partnership with Ponant. It will also offer four-day predeparture land packages in Buenos Aires. The sailings scheduled aboard Le Boreal on Dec. 21 and on Le Lyrial on Jan. 31, 2022.
The company said it will launch five nine-day sailings next year on three different routes in the Galapagos aboard the boutique expedition ship, the Galapagos Legend.
The cruises will feature programming for both adults and children, including special presentations by naturalists. Some select sailings will also have animal and photography experts and workshops about wildlife, conservation and travel photography.
Adventures by Disney, which offers family river cruises aboard AmaWaterways ships, also said it will add photo-driven excursions with National Geographic photographers on sailings along the Seine next year.
Bookings for the expedition cruises open to the public on Jan. 22.
