Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants plans to open the Kimpton Mas Olas Resort & Spa on Mexico’s Baja peninsula on April 1, the brand’s third Mexico property.
Located in Todos Santos, the property is a conversion of the former Rancho Pescadero resort, which debuted as part of Hyatt Hotels Corp.’s Unbound Collection in late 2022. Rancho Pescadero stopped operating last summer, however, after news outlets reported that two U.S. guests had been found dead at the resort.

The reflagged property will be operated by Highgate.
Spanning 103 rooms, including 12 villas, the Kimpton Mas Olas Resort & Spa will debut with three restaurants and bars, four outdoor pools, a 25,000-square-foot spa and fitness facilities.
The property’s culinary options will include Kahal, a signature restaurant offering locally inspired cuisine and a raw bar; organic garden-focused concept Botanica; and breakfast and lunch spot Centro, which will serve casual Mexican fare and coffee made with locally roasted beans.
