Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform at the June 3 naming ceremony for Cunard Line’s Queen Anne in Liverpool, England.
Bocelli will be joined by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and performers from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts for the naming ceremony hosted by musician Matt Willis and his wife, TV presenter Emma Willis.
Hosting the ceremony in Liverpool is meaningful to the line because it serves as Cunard’s spiritual home, said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard.
“This celebration is a tribute to our rich history and a testament to the enduring bond between Cunard and the city of Liverpool. We look forward to honoring this legacy with a celebration of unforgettable performances that reflect the spirit and vibrancy of both our company and this magnificent city,” she said.
The celebration will continue with additional performances from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, plus DJ Lauren Lo Sung and funk-soul performer Craig Charles.
