JetBlue is planning to open its first lounge by the end of next year as it continues its push to compete for premium travelers.
The airline announced Thursday it plans to open a lounge at its main base in Terminal 5 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport by late 2025, and plans to open a second lounge at Boston Logan International Airport “soon after.”
“Customers have asked for a JetBlue lounge for years and we can’t wait to unveil our take in New York and Boston,” President of JetBlue Marty St. George said in a statement. “Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards.”

Although the airline didn’t provide many details about the new lounges in the initial announcement, it did reveal that the JFK location will cover 8,000 square feet, and the Boston location will cover 11,000 square feet. Both lounges will feature complimentary food and beverage offerings and a number of different spaces for work and relaxation, branded with the airline’s signature color palette.
“Customers love the JetBlue experience, so we’re pulling through those thoughtful touches you find onboard our flights into the lounge experience,” St. George said.
Who will get JetBlue lounge access?
After opening, JetBlue lounges will be available to TrueBlue Mosaic tier 4 members and transatlantic Mint business class customers. The airline said it will also soon announce a new premium co-branded credit card that will include lounge access as a perk.
Mosaic 4 and eligible credit card holders will also receive complimentary guest passes for the lounge. JetBlue plans to sell day passes and an annual subscription for lounge access but has not yet announced the pricing structure.
