Scenic Group has hired Ken Muskat as the company’s managing director.
Muskat was last at MSC Cruises USA, where he served as executive vice president and COO. He also served as CEO of SkySea Cruise Line in Shanghai and for 18 years in leadership roles at Royal Caribbean International.
Scenic Group includes Emerald Cruises, Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours and Mayflower Cruises and Tours. The line has two upcoming luxury ships that will double its capacity in ocean cruising: the 228-guest expedition ship Scenic Eclipse II and the 100-guest Emerald Sakara.
Muskat will be responsible for oversight and development of the U.S. market with a focus on sales, marketing, finance, revenue management and the contact center. He will lead growth efforts in the U.S., Mexico, and Central and South America and build awareness for Scenic Group’s brands of ocean and river ships.
Muskat will join Scenic Group’s USA management team on Dec. 12 in the company’s office in Hollywood, Fla. He will report to Anna Wolfsteiner, the line’s global chief of sales and marketing.
Muskat is the latest in a string of new hires Scenic has made this year, including Claudius Docekal, formerly vice president of deployment for Crystal Cruises.
