Kulm Hotel St. Moritz has unveiled the $1.75 million renovation of its largest suite by the French hotel designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
The 575-square-foot Corvatsch Suite, formerly the Presidential Suite, is located on the top floor of the hotel. The suite’s wraparound windows and two balconies overlook the Engadine valley region and the Corvatsch mountains.
Design elements focus on materials, manufacturers and craftsmen from Graubunden to give the room an authentic Alpine feel.
Features include Valser granite basins and Swiss stone pine wood in the bathroom, a series of monochrome images of the valley by local photographer Gian Giovanoli and Little Petra sheepskin armchairs by Viggo Boesen in front of a log fireplace.
The one-bedroom suite can be connected to an adjacent, newly renovated, 140-square-foot Junior Suite, creating one large, family-friendly apartment.
Winter rates for the Corvatsch Suite start at about $6,400 for two, half-board, and $9,150 for four for the combined apartment.
