In time for warming temperatures in southern Nevada, Fontainebleau Las Vegas’ Oasis Pool Deck has opened.
The six-acre area has seven pools, four bars, two restaurants, LIV Beach and a 2,300 square-foot gaming area opening this spring.
Delivering the “vibrant, playful ambience reminiscent of classic Miami Beach” was the goal of the design, resort officials said in a statement.
Inspirations for the design were the work of midcentury landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx, society photographer Slim Aarons and the classic midcentury modern architectural style known as Googie.

The Grand Pool features three bodies of water connected by the Bleau Isle bar under a massive art-deco covering.
Gigi’s, a Mediterranean-inspired escape with cabanas and a dipping pool, sits between the Grand Pool and LIV Beach. Next to the Grand Pool is FB Slims, a bar specializing in frozen cocktails.
The VIP Legacy Pool, under tall palms, has the resort’s largest cabanas offerings. La Mer provides a serene escape, while the livelier Bleautopia features vintage lawn games in a setting inspired by the gardens of Versailles.
Dining at La Cote is influenced by the posh Cote D’Azur and features fresh French-Mediterranean items and an ambitious rose wine and cocktail program. A second dining concept will be unveiled this summer.
LIV it up
With an ambience reminiscent of the French Riviera, LIV Beach, created by David Grutman’s Groot Hospitality and designed by Rockwell Group, will host entertainers such as Calvin Harris, Tiesto, John Summit, Party Favor and James Kennedy.
The two-story, 35,000-square-foot, adults-only LIV Beach is inspired by the cliffside terraces of Antibes in southeastern France and its daylife scene. Bright color throughout the tiered spaces punctuates lush green elements. There is a poolside bar, a round bar on the ground level and a terrace bar on the mezzanine level.
