Railbookers has put together an itinerary that will take avid rail riders on an around-the-world trip in 2024.
The Around the World by Luxury Train itinerary is an 80-day journey across four continents and 13 countries. Guests will visit 20-plus cities via seven luxury rail services: Rocky Mountaineer in Canada, Belmond Royal Scotsman in Scotland, Venice-Simplon Orient Express and Golden Eagle Danube Express in Europe, Maharajas’ Express in India, Rovos Rail in South Africa, and Eastern & Oriental Express in Southeast Asia.
The trip departs on Aug. 28. Prices start at $113,599 per person.
“The demand for luxury rail from our customers continues to grow, and in response we’ve created the ultimate bucket-list trip,” said Frank Marini, CEO and president of Railbookers. “As we’ve seen a trend to combine itineraries to include multiple luxury trains, we’ve tailor-made this itinerary along with smaller, customizable itineraries featuring these iconic trains as a highlight of our industry-leading luxury rail collection.”
Travelers can opt to experience the entire 80-day itinerary or choose to book shorter portions of the trip. Trips include hotel accommodations between rail journeys, sightseeing and transfers. Air travel between destinations is the responsibility of travelers.
Around the World by Luxury Train begins in Vancouver before continuing to Europe cities, including Budapest, Edinburgh, Florence, London, Paris, Rome and Venice. From Europe, the journey moves to India and then South Africa and Southeast Asia before concluding in Singapore.
