Railbookers is offering train trips in South America for the first time.
The rail tour operator has added 21 itineraries, primarily centered on Peru, where there are a number of different rail options from casual to luxury.
Packages range from eight to 25 days and include rail trips, hotels, transfers and all flights within South America.
Most trips start from Lima before heading to Cuzco, where travelers will embark on a tour through Peru’s Sacred Valley, visiting the famed Incan archaeological site of Machu Picchu as well as Lake Titicaca, Puno, Arequipa among other destinations.
Trains featured in the new itineraries include day trains like the Titicaca Train and Inca Rail, Belmond’s Hiram Bingham along with other luxury options like the Belmond Andean Explorer, which is an overnight sleeper train.
Some itineraries include luxury cruises on the Peruvian Amazon with Delfin Amazon Cruises and Aqua Expeditions.
In addition to rail trips in Peru, Railbookers is offering itineraries that include trips to the Galapagos Islands. There are eight itineraries that pair rail trips in Peru with luxury yacht sailings to the Galapagos.
Departures begin this month, with bookings available through 2025. Fares vary depending on trip type and length, but an eight-day trip in Peru starts from $5,999 per person, 12-day tours starts from $10,499 and longer trips around 20 days start from about $20,599 per person.
