Regent Seven Seas Cruises and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team will host a themed cruise in summer 2025, complete with a replica car on the ship and specialty shore experiences.
The voyage will also include a meet-and-greet and Q&A with former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa and members of his racing team, along with a simulator for guests to test their driving skills on a virtual circuit.
“You’re going to sit in the car and you’re going to see what it feels like to be racing 100-plus miles an hour in one of these race cars, but you’ll be on a ship,” said Regent Seven Seas Cruises president Andrea DeMarco.
Aboard the Seven Seas Splendor, the line plans to host a 10-night cruise departing Barcelona for Rome on July 22, 2025. The ship will call at destinations with a history of motor racing, including Monte Carlo.
Representatives from Aston Martin, including engineers and executives, will participate in workshops about innovation and design.
Pre- and post-cruise racing themed itineraries will be available. While in Monte Carlo, guests will have the opportunity to visit the Monaco Circuit and explore the personal car collection of Prince Rainer. Other activities include ending the day with a helicopter flight, which is an iconic race day arrival and departure experience.
The sailing itself will include race-themed dishes, cocktails, deck parties, documentary airings, gifts, co-branded merchandise and cooking classes. Prices for the sailing start at $8,449 per guest, with some limited-capacity shoreside experiences at an additional cost.
