Silversea Cruises will sail a 140-day world cruise described as its “most diverse voyage ever” in 2026.
Naming the voyage “The Curious and the Sea,” Silversea said the cruise will depart out of Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 2, 2026, and call in more destinations than any sailing in Silversea history, said CEO Barbara Muckermann.
The Silver Dawn will call in 70 ports on six continents and include 26 calls that are either new for a Silversea world cruise or haven’t been visited by the line since before pandemic.
Muckermann said the sailing was inspired by past explorers and the history of navigation. The voyage will follow ancient trade routes and offer three optional overland tours in Uzbekistan, Luxor and the Balkans. There will be nine overnight port stays.
The 596-passenger Silver Dawn will sail to Central America and through the Panama Canal, then to South America, Easter Island and French Polynesia. As a first, the ship will spend 28 days in the South Pacific and make new calls there, including at Nuku Hiva and Atuona in the Marquesas Islands.
The ship then turns to New Zealand and will sail a semi-circumnavigation of Australia for the first time. The ship will then sail to Southeast Asia and India before passing through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean. The sailing will include new cultural experiences in North Africa, including a call in La Goulette in Tunisia, which played a key role in international trade connecting Africa with Europe.
The sailing ends in Lisbon on May 27, 2026. Pre-sale bookings open on June 14, 2023, for Venetian Society members. General sales will open on June 22.
