About one in three Americans isn’t getting the proper amount of sleep every night, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), so private jet tour company TCS World Travel is putting healthy rest and relaxation in the spotlight on its new Deep Sleep Private Jet Trip.
The 25-day customizable trip to nine dreamy destinations invites travelers to focus on both the quality and quantity of shut-eye time, by whisking them off to some of the most remote global destinations to experience the calm, dark, and quiet needed for a good night’s sleep.
“In our hyper-connected world, the difficulty of escaping noise and light pollution makes quality sleep increasingly harder to come by,” Shelley Cline, the company’s president, said in a statement obtained by Travel + Leisure, explaining that it can impact mental health and natural circadian rhythms, as well overall well-being. “With our new Deep Sleep journey, we look to provide a respite from the chaos and allow guests the opportunity to slow down and match their bodies to the rhythms of the sun.”
The itinerary starts in Kona, Hawaii, where dark skies take centerstage from the state’s tallest mountain — Mauna Kea. The ocean breeze and spa treatments during the stay at Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, will soon induce a state of lōkahi, which TCS World Travel explained is a “traditional Hawaiian healing that means harmony mentally, physically, and spiritually.”
Next, it’s off to Tahiti to spend three nights in a private St. Regis compound in Bora Bora, surrounded by coral walls and a private beach, before hopping over to New Zealand’s Bay of Islands for The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, which sits among a thousand acres of bushland.
From there, jet off to the Australian outback, where the secluded Mount Mulligan Lodge is on a 70,000-acre heritage site, before visiting Cambodia’s Koh Rong Archipelago for a stay at Song Saa Private Island with the chance to experience its “spa with no walls.”
Then it’s off to Sri Lanka to connect with the wildlife of Yala National Park at the luxury Wild Coast Tented Lodge — and then swapping it for desert scenery in Saudi Arabia at Banyan Tree AlUla, where the stars will charm you to a distinct state of calmness.
Finally, it’s up north to Swedish Lapland to warm up in a sauna before catching those z’s in a floating spa hotel, Arctic Bath Hotel, in Luleå, Norrbottens län, and then ending it all in one of Canada’s most beloved remote getaways, Newfoundland’s Fogo Island Inn.
The all-inclusive trip, officially called “Silence & Darkness: The Ultimate Luxury,” includes luxury accommodations in every destination, as well as upscale dining experiences, local guides, transfers, gratuities, and end-to-end service. The flights are provided on a private Gulfstream G550, Global Express, or similar plane.
The package starts at $230,000 per person, based on double occupancy and six travelers booking together. For more information, travelers can visit TCSWorldTravel.com, email [email protected], or call 206-995-8655.
