Wildlife-tour specialist Natural World Safaris is inviting travelers to “move beyond a bucket list of destinations and delve deeper” with its new lineup of NWS RAW (Remote, Authentic, Wild) itineraries.
A brochure from the company states: “RAW takes you out of your comfort zone but at the same time provides a structured itinerary that will allow you to safely explore a region where infrastructure may be underdeveloped, the wildlife viewing may not be world-class as of yet, your accommodations may lack Egyptian cotton sheets and chilled wines, but the experience, ultimately, is real.”
The 11-day itinerary Bears, Wolves and Snow Leopards of the Himalayas, starting at $7,444 per person, excluding airfare, takes travelers to high-altitude locales that are “cold, harsh, mountainous and often inaccessible to all but the most determined traveler,” according to Natural World.
For the five-day Journey Into the Maliau Basin, Borneo tour, guests will “strap on hiking boots and discover the wonders of the pristine wilderness on an active trekking safari” through the basin’s roughly 150,000 acres of “rivers, waterfalls, vast tracts of forest and a stunning amount of biodiversity,” according to Natural World. The Borneo trip is priced starting from $1,364 per person, excluding airfare.
The five-day Uganda Kidepo by Air safari, starting at $3,168 per person, excluding air, promises “intimate, remote wildlife encounters with an array of game and birdlife” in Uganda’s Kidepo Valley National Park.
For its 11-day Greenland trek, guests will “traverse the tundra in search of muskox, Arctic hare, Arctic fox and wandering polar bears.” The tour starts from $9,359 per person, excluding airfare.
U.K.-based Natural World Safaris also offers bespoke itineraries tailored to families, honeymooners and more. For more information on RAW or Natural World’s other itineraries, visit www.naturalworldsafaris.com.
